Mayabeque, Cuba: The members of the Corre Por la Vida Club, Felipe Chaviano, from Mayabeque, have already confirmed their participation in the Cacahual-Ciudad Deportiva half marathon, to be held on Sunday, February 19, in salute to the 61st anniversary of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), which will be held on the 23rd.
As is traditional, the 10- and 21-kilometer fight will begin at the El Cacahual Mausoleum, a site that houses the remains of the Lieutenant General of the Liberation Army, Antonio Maceo y Grajales, and his assistant, Captain Francisco Gómez Toro (Panchito).
Although this race will be in person in Havana, it is not excluded that in the municipalities and rural towns those interested can participate virtually, covering the distance that each person wants and can do.
