Mayabeque, Cuba: The Provincial Directorate of Culture in Mayabeque and the Montecallado Publishing House convene to the Félix Pita Rodríguez National Literature Contest, in homage to the illustrious writer from Bejucal.
All Cuban writers residing in the country with original and unpublished works may participate.
Tose interested in participate will compete in Poetry, any modality of the genre, with a book of a 60 pages minimum and not exceeding 80. The works may not be participating in other contests or committed for publication in any publisher house. A single and a second prize will be awarded.
The works will be received in digital format, Word Document, signed by pseudonym. In a separate document, the title of the work and the pseudonym used must appear, as well as the personal data of the author: name and surname, home address, identity and telephone number, accompanied by a brief curriculum.
The jury will award the following prizes:
? Single prize consisting of 7,000 pesos in national currency and the publication of the work by Montecallado Publishing House.
? Accésit, consisting of 3000 pesos national currency and the publisher reserves the right to publish the work.
The jury will be made up of renowned writers from the country and will be able to deliver the mentions it deems pertinent, without this constituting a publication commitment.
The works can be sent to the email montecalladomy@apppmy.gob.cu, and will be received until March 31, 2022.
The results of the contest will be announced in May 2022, during the celebration of the International Book Fair in Mayabeque. In case of not being held or postponed, the place and date will be announced in advance. The jury’s decision will be unappealable.
Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of its rules.
