Mayabeque, Cuba: Cuba’s renowned light rum brand Havana Club, produced at the Mayabeque factory, was awarded important recognitions in international competitions this month, a company statement said today.

The note points out that these awards validate leadership among the best spirits products in the world.

This firm received six medals at The Rum & Cachaça Masters 2022, a competition organized by the British publication The Spirits Business.

It is the only international magazine and website dedicated to spirits as such.

The Master’s degree, the highest award given, went to the Havana Club Selection of Masters, followed by three Gold and two Silver medals for other products from the same company.

Havana Club Añejo 7 Years (Gold), Havana Club Añejo 3 Years (Gold), Havana Club Verde (Gold), Havana Club Añejo Especial (Silver) and Havana Club Spiced (Silver) are among the winners.

On the other hand, the PLD 2022 Innovation Awards focused on packaging, awarded by the prestigious PLD Paris Show (France), awarded the highest award in two categories to Havana Club.

As for the Mass Market Liquor Award, it was won by the Havana Club Añejo 7 Años Botella Dorada, and for E-commerce they designated the Havana Club Party Pack.

With these awards, Havana Club adds 344 medals to its record since 1994, a brand in constant evolution, innovative and with proven levels of quality in its productions, the report concludes.

Havana Club International S.A, constitutes a joint venture between Pernod Ricard of France and the local producer Cuba Ron, an association created in 1993 and with outstanding results in global markets.
