Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, March 13, a total of 7,423 patients were admitted, 4,703 suspected, 27 under surveillance, and 2,693 confirmed active, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.
For COVID-19, a total of 10,654 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 620 being positive for 5.8% positivity. The country accumulates 13 million 241 thousand 152 samples carried out and 1 million 077 thousand 405 positives (8.1%).
Of the total cases (620): 603 were contacts of confirmed cases, 4 with a source of infection abroad and 13 without a specified source of infection. Of the 620 diagnosed cases, 345 were female and 275 male.
4.7% (29) of the 620 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 145,495, which represents 13.5% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 620 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (189), 20 to 39 years old (151), 40 to 59 years old (166), 60 and over (114).

There are 8,503 deaths (no deaths were reported yesterday), lethality of 0.79% vs 1.33% in the world and 1.78% in the Americas; two evacuated and 57 returned to their countries. On the day there were 453 discharges, accumulating 1 million 066 thousand 150 recovered patients (99.0%). 14 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 6 are critical and 8 are seriously ill.
As of March 13, 192 countries and 32 territories have been reported with cases of COVID-19, amounting to 457 million 613 thousand 472 confirmed cases (+ 1 million 643 thousand 741) with 60 million 553 thousand 339 active cases and 6 million 064 thousand 493 deceased (+ 4 thousand 502) for a lethality of 1.33% (-0.01).
In the region of the Americas, 150 million 915 thousand 459 confirmed cases (+ 95 thousand 392) are reported, 32.98% of the total cases reported in the world, with 27 million 618 thousand 654 active cases and 2 million 693 thousand 550 deceased (+ 1 thousand 561) for a lethality of 1.78% (-0.01).
