Foreign cooperation project committed to agricultural development in Batabanó.

Mayabeque, Cuba: A new foreign cooperation project, led by the Center for Rural Studies and International Agriculture, will contribute to the development of productive entities in Batabanó.

Funded by this non-profit organization, it will deliver resources to several cooperatives in the territory to boost food production.

The initiative will benefit the remote control of trucks and tractors, as well as the entry of computer equipment and fumigation pipes.

In addition, they will deliver to the Ciro Redondo Agricultural Production Cooperative all the equipment for the assembly of an agricultural mechanization workshop, which will provide its services to the rest of the productive forms.

The project is approved by the Municipal Administration Council and awaiting the entry of resources.

The Center for Rural Studies and International Agriculture is a social entity that worked from internationalist local action and pursues an ecologically sound development.

To do this, they use a productive and extensive model with the biological self-renewal capacity of forestry and livestock agroecosystems.

Since its origins in 1994 in Valencia, Spain, this political project has been built from the paradigm of sustainable rural development and today it arrives in Batabanó to promote food sovereignty and territorial agroecology.

The coastal municipality, as a pioneer in this matter, should take advantage of this solidarity opportunity to continue reaping fruits in the world of agriculture.
