Quivicán, provincial headquarters of the activities for July 26.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Provincial Bureau of the Party in Mayabeque granted the municipality of Quivicán the venue for the activities for the National Rebellion Day in the territory.

The decision, adopted at a meeting held this Thursday, is supported by the comprehensive progress of this territory, especially in crucial programs such as the promotion of food production and care for communities in vulnerable situations.

The member of the Central Committee and First Secretary of the Party in the province, Yuniasky Crespo Baquero, congratulated the people of Quivicán and all of Mayabeque, on such an important day in which local companies and entities will organize different activities in salute to the historic deed carried out by the Generation of the Centennial in that year 1953, which marked a turning point in the fight for the definitive independence of Cuba, with the assaults on the Moncada barracks, in Santiago de Cuba, and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, in Bayamo.

He specified that, due to the commemoration, there are tasks that we must speed up to improve the results in terms of food sovereignty, the housing program, together with the recovery of the buildings affected by the recent rains in the localities and the revival of political propaganda in all municipalities, among others.

The Provincial Bureau of the Party paid tribute to the events led by Fidel; that took place that year, at Santa Elena Farm, in Nueva Paz, as a prelude to the epic of July 26 that paved the way for the revolutionary triumph in 1959, a process of resistance and independence of the country that the Commander-in-Chief defended until his last breath.
