National Program for Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture demands eliminating setbacks.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The National Program for Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture demands, in the province, to eliminate setbacks and achieve definitive consolidation.

The results obtained in the National Group’s route 91 reaffirm the importance of continuing to delve into aspects such as the local production of organic fertilizers, seeds, agro-ecological management of pests and greater use of irrigation.

Among the tasks prioritized for the remainder of the year are: consolidate the exploitation of the areas of fresh vegetables and condiments, advance in the food self-sufficiency of the communities and conclude the production of seeds from the winter sowings.

The orientations of the National Group include advancing in the work of the medicinal plant farms and in the business management of the system.
