Venezuela: The vice president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced the provocation and threat of the United States to regional sovereignty and stability, based on the development of joint military exercises with Guyana, Radio Reloj reports.
From the Miraflores Palace, the vice president reported on the presence in the region of a US coast guard vessel, underlining that the Venezuelan authorities remain alert to any incursion into their jurisdictional waters.
Rodríguez asserted that those actions promoted by Donald Trump?s administration are intended to create provocations, threats and aggressions against Venezuela, in addition to interfering in the territorial controversy over the Guayana Esequiba region.
The vice-president also mentioned the sending to the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, of a communication to alert about the risks to regional peace and stability.
