In a brief headline on its website, the company announced the new date, the fourth deadline since last March 22nd, it temporarily closed its regular flights due to Panamanian government restrictions to mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic, which is in its most critical phase right now.
Likewise, it informs travelers that among the biosafety measures for the reopening of the Tocumen International Airport, there are the temperature taking at the entrance to the terminal, the prior check of the ticket via the internet, scanning the boarding pass at the door and show the passport to the official to avoid personal contact.
Maintaining physical distance in the waiting rooms, while boarding will be in groups, located from the bottom of the plane forward, to avoid congestion in the lines and will be the other way around at the destination also stand out among the measures.
It specifies that the plane can be accessed with a hand luggage, light enough to be placed in the upper compartment without the help of the crew, who is prohibited from such manipulation; it is also allowed to carry a personal item; at the same time, the airline will provide a mask and disinfectant cloths for each passenger.
The use of the mask is mandatory on all flights and the company suggests taking small doses of alcohol gel with you in case you do not have immediate access to the sinks; the food supplied will be prepackaged and will depend on the duration of the trip, while they can take their own on board.
Copa suggests to its clients to consult on the web the specific measures established at the airports of origin and destination, in addition to the requirements of the health authorities of the countries where they intend to travel and urged them to arrive three hours before departure, because in most of the air terminals, more controls were implemented than usual.
Among other measures, Tocumen will prevent travelers from accompanying them on departure and arrival and if the traveler needs special help, they will allow access to only one person.
