Mayabeque, Cuba: The main leaders of the Young Communists League (UJC) and the Federation of University Students (FEU), appeared this Thursday at the Round Table to report on the actions of Cuban youth in the recovery stages.
The First Secretary of the National Committee of the UJC, Diosvany Acosta Abrahante, said that Young People for Life was the motto that they carried with them during the treatment phase of the pandemic, without even knowing what would happen next in matters of public health and education.
Today the mission is how to contribute to the main calls made by the country’s leadership and to do so while maintaining youth leadership at the side of the Revolution.
The National President of the Federation of University Students (FEU), José Antonio Echeverría, argued that students in higher education carry out a multitude of tasks, including the continuity of research.
He mention as an example to those who work in different provinces of the country, among them, Mayabeque, where they collaborate with the operation of the stores that collect foreign currency.
The member of the UJC National Bureau, Yannara Concepción Domingo, reported that with the minimum use of resources, Cuban youth cooperate in multiple activities, among them the most important is food production.
They also support transportation divided into several brigades that collaborate in the organization of people at the stops and specifically the contribution given by young members of the Ministry of the Interior.
Referring comprehensively to the contribution of young people, the First Secretary of the National Committee of the UJC, Diosvany Acosta Abrahante, argued that there is a revitalization of the work of the organization, caused by the difficult moments that came with COVID-19 in Cuba.
For these reasons, we will develop a summer with opportunities for recreation without ignoring the sense of responsibility and compliance with the measures, said the youth leader.
