Council of State Awarded Mayabeque Workers

Mayabeque Cuba: The Council of State, at the proposal of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC by its Spanish initials), awarded the Jesús Menéndez Medal to Rigoberto González Hernández and Nieves María Rabelo Domínguez, of the Union of Sugar Workers, Lázaro Luis Ramírez Stabilé of the Union of Civilians of the Defense, as well as Ricardo González Gamón and Vivian Fraga Ascuy of the Union of Workers of Industries.

The awarding of this medal is due to their results over the years in the workplace and in the union movement.

They also awarded the Proeza Laboral Flag to the Collective of the Provincial Transport Company, for their meritorious task in this stage of confrontation with COVID-19, which was received by the director of the entity, Alexis Padilla Padilla, on the occasion of the 59 years of the creation of Mitrans.

The activity took place in the lobby of the Cine Teatro Lajero in the capital of Mayabeque, chaired by Eduardo Viera Matos, member of the Provincial Party Bureau and Milagros de la Caridad Pérez Caballero, deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power and member of the National Secretariat of the CTC, among other officials.
