Trinidad Tobago Imposes Mandatory Use of Masks Due to Covid-19

Trinidad Tobago: Trinidadians are required by law as of tomorrow to wear a mask to protect against the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a rule approved by both houses of parliament, Prensa Latina reports.

Failure to comply with this provision carries fines that can amount to the equivalent of US $ 37.

According to the Prime Minister, Keith Rowley, the measure will help curb the spread of the disease that until yesterday caused the death of 19 people.

At the moment, Trinidad and Tobago has 1,500 confirmed cases, with more than 800 active.

From now on the mask is part of Trinidadian clothing. The new law forces the irresponsible to protect the rest of the population from the pandemic.
