Mayabeque, Cuba: These days the confirmation of positive cases to Covid-19, in the capital of Mayabeque, reignites the alarms to take extreme measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
The members of the Provincial Defense Council (CDP), in their daily meetings, evaluate the epidemiological situation of each municipality and indicate actions to minimize the risks of contagion in the population.
“It is essential that people comply with the mandatory use of the face masks, washing their hands with hydro alcoholic or chlorinated solutions, cleaning surfaces and maintaining social distancing, as well as the operation of footsteps in institutions, among other measures”, the president of the CDP, Yanina de la Nuez Aclich said.
The health authorities also insisted on the need for residents and workers of all sectors to report any doubt about the identification of a person with symptoms, or who has had an approach with suspicious cases or contacts, to carry out an adequate control of focus as quickly as possible.
Regarding energy saving, the 11 municipalities must multiply their efforts to reduce electricity consumption in the state, residential sector.
Other issues that are constantly monitored by the Provincial Defense Council are the recovery of homes and growing areas affected by tropical storm Laura, the development of the school year and the cold campaign in agriculture.
