Mayabeque, Cuba: University professors in Madruga support the territory’s economic and social development strategy and accompany the government in the purpose of carrying out projects that generate goods and services for the people in the short and medium term.
According to the Master in Educational Sciences, Adileidys Méndez Sánchez, director of the Municipal University Center (CUM), they revitalized the Red Square and the Loma de la Gloria in the town.
The advice and training of officials and leaders, the main decision-makers in local government management, is another of the CUM’s contributions to the development strategy.
At the moment, university professors from Madruga have agreements with scientific centers in the province such as the National Institute of Animal Science (ICA), to favor projects associated with agriculture.
