Havana: The deputies to the Parliament of Cuba approved today the changes made to the bills of the President and Vice President of the Republic and the revocation of the positions of the People’s Power, Prensa Latina publishes.
The legislators learned about the changes introduced in the texts that will be submitted for approval on October 28, during the ordinary session of the National Assembly of People’s Power.
The bill of the President and Vice President generated 16 proposals from the deputies, which led to the modification of seven articles of the legal body and one of the Because.
Meanwhile, citizens also made more than 20 suggestions through the emails enabled for it.
Among the elements that were specified are the definition of the National Assembly as the competent body to establish the causes and procedures for the supervening and disabling declaration of the president.
In addition, it was included within the powers and functions of the president to previously know the accountability reports of the governors, and to evaluate and approve the annual directives on the priorities of the control actions, both of the Comptroller’s Office and of the audit system national.
In the proposed Law for the revocation of those elected to the Organs of the People’s Power, the suggestion to incorporate the concept of revocation in the document was accepted.
In addition, three articles were added, including the procedures for the revocation of the presidents and vice-presidents of the popular councils, a structure that had not been considered initially.
In total, this draft regulation generated 24 suggestions, both from the deputies and the population.
These legislative proposals, together with the Foreign Service Law and the Law on the organization and operation of the Council of Ministers, will be submitted for approval in a session that will also take place virtually.
