Havana: The deputies to the National Assembly of People’s Power (Parliament) of Cuba will resume today the analysis of four bills that will be submitted for approval during their regular session on October 28, Prensa Latina publishes.

Once again meeting virtually, the legislators will know the changes made to the proposals for the Foreign Service Law, the Law on the organization and operation of the Council of Ministers, the Law for the revocation of those elected to the organs of People’s Power, and the Law of the President and Vice President of the Republic.

As recently explained by deputy José Luis Toledo, president of the Assembly’s Constitutional and Legal Affairs committee, the transformations respond to the suggestions made by parliamentarians during the study session held on October 20.

The criteria received through the digital channels enabled for this were also taken into account, Toledo said on the television program Mesa Redonda.

The working session of this Monday can bring new modifications to the normative bodies, which are aimed at strengthening the institutional organization of the State and its correspondence with the current Constitution.

The draft of the Foreign Service Law is an eminently organic norm, through which all the content related to the subject is hierarchized and organized, in a single legal body.

Meanwhile, the proposed Law on the organization of the Council of Ministers will regulate what concerns the operation of the Government of the nation, for which it provides work procedures and powers of that body, among other elements.

For its part, the draft Law for the revocation of those elected to the organs of People’s Power meets the need to update the current legislation on the matter and adjust it to the Magna Carta, which designs new structures and figures.

The bill of the president and vice president also regulates the functioning of both positions, develops the powers established by the constitution and provides for actions in case of replacement, among other aspects.
