Havana: At midnight yesterday, 3,928 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 848 suspects, 2,590 under surveillance and 490 confirmed, the MINSAP website publishes.
For COVID-19 8,201 samples were studied, resulting in 49 positive samples. The country accumulates 816,278 samples carried out and 6,727 positives (0.82%).
Of the 49 cases diagnosed, 47 are Cubans and two are foreigners. Of the total cases (49): 43 were contacts of confirmed cases, four with a source of infection abroad and two without a specified source of infection. Of the 49 confirmed cases, 10 were women and 39 men. 81.6% (40) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
By province, the cases correspond to Pinar del Río 22, Artemisa 1, Havana 1 (imported), Matanzas 2 (imported), Sancti Spiritus 2, Ciego de Avila 20 and Granma 1 (imported).
Of the 6,727 patients diagnosed with the disease, 490 (7.28%), 487 (99.3%) with stable clinical evolution remain confirmed. 128 deaths are reported (none during the day), two evacuated, 56 discharges of the day, 6,107 recovered patients accumulate (90.7%) and three critical patients.
Until October 27, 185 countries with cases of COVID-19 are reported, the number of confirmed cases rises to 43 million 598 thousand 3 (+457 thousand 831) and 1 million 160 thousand 995 deaths (+ 5 thousand 760) for a fatality of 2 , 66 (-0.01).
In the region of the Americas, 19 million 924 thousand 653 confirmed cases (+ 122 thousand 55) are reported, 45.70% of the total cases reported in the world, with 629 thousand 48 deaths (+ 1 thousand 850) for a fatality 3.16% (-0.01).
