Havana: At midnight yesterday, 3,690 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 952 suspects, 2,245 under surveillance and 493 confirmed, the Ministry of Public Health reports on its website.
For COVID-19, 8,245 samples were studied, resulting in 35 positive samples. The country accumulates 832 thousand 287 samples carried out and 6 thousand 801 positive ones (0.82%).
The 35 diagnosed cases are Cuban, 34 were contacts of confirmed cases and one with a source of infection abroad. Of the 35 confirmed cases, 13 were women and 22 men. 88.5% (31) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
By province, the cases belong to Pinar del Río 26, Artemisa 1, La Habana 2, Sancti Spiritus 5 and Camagüey 1 (imported).
Of the 6 thousand 801 patients diagnosed with the disease, 493 (7.2%), 488 (98.9%) with stable clinical evolution remain confirmed. 128 deaths are reported (none in the day), two evacuated, 46 discharges of the day, 6 thousand 178 recovered patients accumulate (90.8%) and three critical patients and two seriously ill.
Until October 29, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 44 million 575 thousand 20 (+ 522 thousand 583) and 1 million 175 thousand 279 deaths (+ 7 thousand 203) for a lethality of 2 , 63 (-0.02).
In the region of the Americas, 20 million 218 thousand 755 confirmed cases (+ 148 thousand 891) are reported, 45.35% of the total cases reported in the world, with 634 thousand 871 deaths (+ 2 thousand 767) for a fatality of 3.14% (-0.01).
