Havana: At midnight yesterday, November 1, 3 thousand 746 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 844 suspects, 2 thousand 381 under surveillance and 521 confirmed, the website of the Ministry of Public health publishes.
For COVID-19, 8,192 samples were studied, resulting in 35 positive samples. The country accumulates 858,131 samples carried out and 6,970 positive (0.81%).
The 35 diagnosed cases are Cuban and autochthonous. Of the total cases (35): 32 were contacts of confirmed cases and three without a specified source of infection. Of the 35 cases diagnosed, 19 were female and 16 male. 74.2% (26) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
By province, the cases belong to Pinar del Río 30, Artemisa 1, Sancti Spiritus.
Of the 6,970 patients diagnosed with the disease, 521 (7.4%), 518 (99.4%) with stable clinical evolution remain confirmed. 129 deaths are reported (one in the day), two evacuated, 29 discharges of the day, 6 thousand 318 recovered patients (90.6%) and three critical patients accumulate.
Until November 1, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases (+488 thousand 722) and 1 million 196 thousand 272 deaths (+6 thousand 773) amount to 46 million 156 thousand 588, for a fatality of 2, 59 (-0.01).
In the region of the Americas, 20 million 684 thousand 578 confirmed cases (+137 thousand 912) are reported, 44.81% of the total cases reported in the world, with 642 thousand 894 deaths (+2 thousand 381) for a fatality of 3.11% (-0.01).
