Mayabeque, Cuba: Workers at the Rubén Martínez Villena Agricultural Company, from Madruga, expect higher agricultural yields in 2021.
In this second fortnight of February, the conditions for the potato harvest in 42 hectares are ready, the estimates express that the stockpile will be about 800 tons.
The Director of the agricultural entity, Reinier Riverón Rivero, assured that the yields this year will be 19 tons per hectare, higher than the year 2020.
Potato supply commitments will begin to materialize in the first days of March and includes delivery to the basic food basket of various municipalities of Mayabeque, education and public health centers, as well as shipments to markets in the capital of the country.
