Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque registers 44 positive samples for Covid-19, according to the official website of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
Among those infected are: 5 without a specified source of infection, 1 from Güines, 2 from Melena del Sur and the same number from San José de las Lajas. In addition 39 contacts of confirmed cases.
Of the 44 positive samples, 15 belong to the Madruga municipality, 7 to San José de las Lajas, 5 to Nueva Paz and 4 to Melena del Sur and Güines.
As for the municipalities Santa Cruz del Norte and Quivicán, they have 3 each, San Nicolás 2 and Jaruco 1.
The Provincial Defense Council (CDP) in Mayabeque urged to carry out more in-depth studies in the face of the unfavorable epidemiological situation that the province presents due to the outbreak of Covid-19.
