Currently the municipality accumulates a total of 85 active cases, scattered throughout the territory and with a higher incidence in the North and Jamaica popular councils, where around 70 percent of the cases accumulate.
In response to this scenario, the Municipal Defense Council (CDM) adopts new measures such as restricting movement from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the next day, messaging services were reinforced, guaranteeing that 100 percent of the people benefiting from the Family Attention System (SAF) receive the service at home and prevent them from going out into the street unnecessarily.
The president of the CDM, Alberto Torres Hernández, explained that regarding the restriction of the movement of vulnerable people, they adopted a group of measures such as the suspension of sales in the establishments to older adults, pregnant women and children. Attention to the most remote communities was increased to avoid their inhabitants having to move to the urban area.
“As of Tuesday, February 23, we agreed in the defense council to reduce the hours of a group of centers that today provide services to the population,” Torres Hernández clarified.
