Havana, Cuba: The second day of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) began this Saturday morning at the Convention Center in this capital.

The debate in commissions will focus on the topics proposed in the Central Report of the Conclave, presented at the opening session on Friday by the First Secretary of the CC PCC, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.

The delegates to the party meeting and the guests will be present in the discussion of topics such as the economic evolution of the country in the last five years and the prospects for development.

They will also discuss the Cuban Social Economic Model and the proposals for changes in the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution approved in 2016, the functioning of the party and the ideological work, as well as the formation and preparation of the cadres, protagonists of historical continuity.

It is estimated that in the afternoon the work in Commissions should be completed, from which opinions will be drawn up that will be submitted to the consideration of all the delegates in the plenary session of the Event, which ends on Monday, April 19.
