Informative note no. 5 of the National Civil Defense Staff on Tropical Storm Elsa
According to information from the Forecasting Center of the Institute of Meteorology, Tropical Storm Elsa continues approaching the western region of our country with a slight increase in intensity, maintaining a northwesterly course. The cloudy and rains associated with the storm cover much of the country.
Taking into account its proximity to the national territory, it was decided to establish the Alarm Phase from 07:30 hours for the provinces of Mayabeque and Havana and the Alert Phase for Artemisa.
The population is oriented to keep up-to-date with the information from the Institute of Meteorology and Civil Defense, through the media and official profiles of social networks and to comply with discipline with the instructions given by the national, provincial and local authorities.
