Mayabeque, Cuba: The repair of the Héroes de Bolivia Junior High School in the municipality of Güines, is progressing as part of the maintenance program for educational institutions in Mayabeque.
The work includes the change of carpentry, the remodeling of premises and classrooms, the renovation of interior patios, as well as the entrance to the center and the rehabilitation of the electrical and plumbing systems.
According to the technical chief of the Base Business Unit (UEB) for Construction Maintenance in the territory, Alfredo Imas, a complete repair of the carpentry and walls was undertaken; in addition all the sanitary equipment is new.
The task takes place as part of the Constructive Maintenance Program of the Provincial Directorate of Education in Mayabeque.
Some 450 students will be taught at this center, once the teaching and learning process is resumed with a new image.
The execution of the work includes the placement of a fence in front of the center and other tasks to preserve the original image of this institution, which forms the cultural and educational heritage of this territory.
