Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reports at midnight yesterday, August 19, 104,105 patients admitted, of them 53,059 suspects, 4,597 under surveillance and 46,449 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 49,635 samples were made, resulting in 9,764 positive. The country accumulates 7 million 388 thousand 327 samples carried out and 564 thousand 011 positive.
Of the total number of cases (9764): 9645 were contacts of confirmed cases; 66 with a source of infection abroad; 53 without a specified source of infection. Of the 9,764 diagnosed cases, 5,358 were female and 4,406 male.
4.0% (390) of the 9764 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 114,049, which represents 20.2% of those confirmed to date.
The 9,764 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, (2029), from 20 to 39 years old, (2730), from 40 to 59 years old (3195) and over 60 years old (1810).

There are 4,397 deaths (78 in the day), fatality of 0.78% vs 2.1% in the world and 2.5% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 8 thousand 509 discharges, 513 thousand 108 recovered patients accumulate (91.0%). 478 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, of them 131 critical and 347 severe.
Until August 19, 190 countries and 32 territories with COVID-19 cases are reported, it amounts to 210 million 784 thousand 682 confirmed cases (+ 724 thousand 914) with 17 million 645 thousand 248 active cases and 4 million 416 thousand 88 deaths (+ 11,822) for a fatality of 2.1% (=).
