Havana, Cuba: The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez – before the proximity to the national territory of Tropical Storm Ida – asked the people for discipline and responsibility so as not to regret loss of life, Radio Reloj publishes.
The president assured that the western territories have prepared to face it, and shared the tropical cyclone warning, issued by the Forecast Center of the Institute of Meteorology (INSMET).
Notice number 4 issued by that entity details that Ida is approaching the west, and the rainy areas have continued to affect from Camagüey to Santiago de Cuba.
According to INSMET, it is predicted that Ida will continue with a similar course and speed of translation, gaining somewhat more in organization and intensity, approaching the Cuban archipelago, with areas of rainfall that affect the east and extend to the central region.
