Mayabeque, Cuba: The voluntary period for the payment of the tax on roadbtransportation and the ownership or possession of boats was extended until September 30 of this year based on the epidemiological situation that the country presents with the community transmission of Covid -19.
According to the communicator of the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) in Mayabeque, María Fernanda Malo Clever, the individuals, natural, legal, Cuban or foreign owners of motor vehicles or animal traction intended for land transportation, as well as all owners of maritime vessels must pay the settlement of the tax in the established time.
Those who fail to comply with the payment obligations could face sanctions according to the provisions of Law 113 of the Tax System.
Malo Clever urged taxpayers to promote payments through digital channels, mainly through the Tax Portal.
