Havana, Cuba: The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez attended the act of restarting the school year, held at the Carlos Rafael Rodríguez Polytechnic, located in Old Havana, Radio Reloj reports.
At the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, and the Governor of Havana, Reinaldo García Zapata, personalities related to the sector were recognized.
The head of Education, Yoania Falcón, explained that 71 centers were opened in the capital, where more than 13 thousand students will be incorporated, and called for the care of the facilities, as well as to comply with the sanitary protocols.
The reincorporation of students of the twelfth grade, the third and fourth year of pedagogical training, and those of the third year of technical-professional education responds to the progress of immunization.
At the end of the event, the Cuban president and his companions made a brief tour of the different areas of the new student center and exchanged with teachers and students.
