Mayabeque, Cuba: The Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, urged the development of an efficient sugar harvest to substitute imports to the country, at the Boris Luis Santa Coloma Base Business Unit, in Madruga.
Despite the limitations, Valdés Mesa called to work to enlist the two plants that will process the sugarcane, in addition, he explained that the campaign to be carried out will be short but efficient.
During the visit to Mayabeque, the Vice President also supervised the progress of the community resuscitation project in the El Cangre and Catalina Popular Councils, belonging to the municipality of Güines.
“The neighborhood has to participate in solving problems, in addition, teachers, students and the general population must be present,” he said.
