Habana, Cuba: Cuba confirmed at midnight this Sunday, November 21, 240 positive cases to COVID-19 and no deaths, the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported.
4,657 patients were admitted, of them 3,073 suspects, 218 under surveillance and 1,366 confirmed.
Yesterday, 17,944 samples were processed in the country’s molecular biology laboratories, and as a result, 240 COVID-19 infections were confirmed.
There are 10, 947,424 samples made for the diagnosis of SARS-Cov-2 and 961,042 people diagnosed with the disease.
Of the total number of cases (240): 236 were contacts of confirmed cases; 2 with a source of infection abroad; 2 without a specified source of infection. Of the 240 diagnosed cases, 130 were female and 110 male.
12.9% (31) of the 240 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 132 thousand 341, which represents 13.7% of those confirmed to date.

Of the 961,042 patients diagnosed with the disease, 1,366 remain hospitalized, of them 1,327 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,295 deaths (0 in the day), fatality of 0.86% vs 2.0% in the World and 2.43% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 266 discharges, 951 thousand 324 recovered patients accumulate (99.0%). 39 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, of which 16 are critical and 23 are seriously ill.
No deceased patients were reported on the day.
Until November 21, 191 countries and 32 territories with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 257 million 707 thousand 492 (+ 483 thousand 659) with 19 million 879 thousand 276 active cases and 5 million 167 thousand 29 deaths ( + 7,543) for a lethality of 2% (-0.01).
