Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, February 3, a total of 19,092 patients were hospitalized, 10,523 suspected, 170 under surveillance, and 8,399 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 18,131 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 1,434 being positive for 7.9% positivity. The country accumulates 12 million 751 thousand 995 samples carried out and 1 million 050 thousand 840 positives (8.2%).
Of the total cases (1,434): 1,389 were contacts of confirmed cases, 29 with a source of infection abroad and 16 without a specified source of infection. Of the 1,434 diagnosed cases, 780 were female and 698 male.
9.3% (133) of the 1,434 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 143,543, which represents 13.6% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 1,434 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (312), 20 to 39 years old (394), 40 to 59 years old (437), 60 and over (291).

There are 8,427 deaths (7 on the day), a lethality of 0.80% vs 1.48% in the world and 1.83% in the Americas; two evacuated and 57 returned to their countries. On the day there were 2 thousand 721 discharges, accumulated 1 million 033 thousand 955 recovered patients (98.3%). 57 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 23 are critical and 34 are seriously ill.
