Moscow: Russia today reported 197,076 new cases of Covid-19, a total that reached 13,527,845 since the start of the pandemic, an increase of 1.5 percent from the previous day.
In the last 24 hours, 19,446 people were hospitalized due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, 3.63 percent less than the previous day, according to the national general staff for confronting the disease.
The number of admissions decreased in 51 of the 85 regions of the country and increased in 32. The spread of the Omicron variant reached 70 percent of the positives detected, the report indicated.
Most of the cases continue to be located in this capital, where 22,747 were diagnosed yesterday, compared to 11,521 the day before.
On the last day, 701 patients died from Covid-19, a figure that rose to 338,091.
This Wednesday, 106 thousand 92 patients were recovered, the largest number since the beginning of the infection, a number that rose to ten million 909 thousand 397, 80.6 percent of infections. (PVI)
