Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported this Wednesday three deaths and 919 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of one million 056 thousand 846 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
At midnight yesterday, February 8, a total of 16 thousand 261 patients are admitted, 10 thousand 077 suspects in surveillance 120 and confirmed active 6 thousand 064.
For COVID-19, a total of 14,939 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 919 being positive for 6.2% positivity. The country accumulates 12 million 828 thousand 848 samples carried out and one million 056 thousand 846 positives (8.2%).
Of the total cases (919): 902 were contacts of confirmed cases, 10 with a source of infection abroad and 7 without a specified source of infection. Of the 919 diagnosed cases, 534 were female and 385 male.
5.1% (47) of the 919 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 144,040, which represents 13.6% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 919 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (195), 20 to 39 years old (253), 40 to 59 years old (266), 60 and over (205).
