Mayabeque, Cuba: The Agrarian University of Havana (UNAH) convened today the International Congress of Agricultural Sciences, Agro-ciencias 2022, to be held from October 3 to 7 in Cuba, the Cuban News Agency reports.
The executive secretary of the event, Odelkis Vázquez González, says that at the event they will exchange knowledge and good practices on animal welfare, precision agriculture, the use of clean agricultural technologies and knowledge management and innovation for sustainable agri-food systems.
The scientific program will include keynote speeches by national and international experts, as well as other activities, including plenary sessions and workshops, she detailed.
Vázquez González commented that the event, whose theoretical sessions will be at the Convention Palace, will encourage visits to productive areas and scientific institutions.
During the official launch of the call, which took place at the UNAH stand, it transpired that at the 2022 University Congress there will be five simultaneous events to be held in the first days of October, among which the XV Scientific Conference on Agricultural Engineering stands out and the V Seminar on Veterinary Medicine.
Those interested will have until July 8 to present their papers, detailed the executive secretary of the event.
UNAH is a certified center that directs three agricultural careers in the country, Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, Agricultural Engineering and Engineering in Agroindustrial Processes.
This institution contributes to training and research on agricultural issues and the development of food security in the province of Mayabeque.
