Havana, Cuba: At midnight yesterday, February 20, 9,749 patients were hospitalized, 6,537 suspected, 81 under surveillance, and 3,131 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 12,849 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 562 being positive. The country has accumulated 13,004,475 samples taken and 1,065,947 positives.
Of the total cases (562): 545 were contacts of confirmed cases; 14 with a source of infection abroad; 3 with no specified source of infection. Of the 562 diagnosed cases, 298 were female and 264 male.
7.6% (43) of the 562 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 144,864, which represents 13.6% of those confirmed to date.
The 562 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (148), 20 to 39 years old (156), 40 to 59 years old (144) and over 60 (114).

Of the 1 million 065 thousand 947 patients diagnosed with the disease, 3 thousand 131 remain hospitalized, of which 3 thousand 095 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,491 deaths (4 on the day), a lethality of 0.80% vs 1.39% in the world and 1.79% in the Americas; two evacuees, 57 returned to their countries, on the day there were 571 discharges, accumulated 1 million 054 thousand 266 recovered patients (98.9%). 36 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 10 are critical and 26 are seriously ill.
