Mayabeque, Cuba: The management of the Radiocuba Mayabeque Territorial Division informs the population that next February 28, the partial transition stage to digital terrestrial television will take place in the western zone, which implies that it will no longer receive analog signal of the Educational and Educational 2 channels.

The Head of the Territorial Division of Radio Cuba in the province, Yunior Guerra Quiñones, said that the transmitters of the Educational and Educational 2 channels will go out of service. This programming will be received only through the digital service.

The signals of Cubavisión, Telerebelde and Multivisión will maintain the analogic service.

The transmission centers that provide this service in Mayabeque are in the municipalities of Güines and Santa Cruz del Norte.

Guerra Quiñones added that this process provides higher quality and greater technological development.

The process of partial transition to digital terrestrial television is part of the program designed in the country to establish this updated form of transmission and abandon the obsolete analog transmission that also represents high energy consumption. (
