Havana, Cuba: The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported this Wednesday three deaths and 513 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a total of 1 million 066 thousand 92 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the nation, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.
At midnight yesterday, February 22, a total of 8 thousand 563 patients are admitted, 5 thousand 748 suspects, 67 under surveillance and 2 thousand 748 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 12,333 samples were taken for surveillance on the day, with 513 being positive. The country has accumulated 13,025,937 samples taken and 1,066,927 positives.
Of the total cases (513): 497 were contacts of confirmed cases, 12 with a source of infection abroad and 4 without a specified source of infection. Of the 513 diagnosed cases, 301 were female and 212 male.
8.6% (44) of the 513 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 144,936, which represents 13.6% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 513 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years old (127), 20 to 39 years old (135), 40 to 59 years old (133), 60 and over (118).
Of the 1 million 066 thousand 927 patients diagnosed with the disease, 2 thousand 748 remain hospitalized, of which 2 thousand 715 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,494 deaths (3 on the day), a lethality of 0.80% vs 1.38% in the world and 1.78% in the Americas; two evacuated and 57 returned to their countries. On the day there were 731 discharges, accumulated 1 million 055 thousand 626 recovered patients (98.9%). 33 confirmed patients are treated in intensive care, of which 11 are critical and 22 are serious.
