Mayabeque, Cuba: the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) in Madruga gives priority to the improvement and increase of services to the population.

In the first two months of this year alone, the municipal entity sold 1,275 cell phone lines, increasing the number activated to 8,000, thanks also to the incorporation of two other digital radio bases into the system in the last stage of work.

To improve and increase services to the population, ETECSA workers in Madruga are currently diagnosing all the infrastructure and logistics of fixed telephony to ensure the ideal conditions that will allow new investment processes in the future.

The head of the Cuban Telecommunications Center in the territory, Reinier Méndez Morales, asserts that at the end of February, the entity’s workers’ collective repaired and restored the useful life of more than 30 commonly used telephone sets distributed in the community.

In addition, seven new lines were guaranteed for communication in this modality, since it is a prioritized task in the locality.
