Mayabeque, Cuba: Members of the French parliament visit Mayabeque to exchange with the highest authorities of the government with the interest of maintaining collaboration links.
The delegation makes an official visit to Cuba, invited by the National Assembly of the People’s Power.
The delegation is headed by the president of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba of the National Assembly of the French Republic, deputy François-Michel Lambert, and representatives of parties such as the Republic on the Move, the Democratic Movement and France Insumisa.
Foreign visitors confirmed the potential of Mayabeque as an agricultural, scientific and industrial pole of western Cuba.
In a tour of the San José Rum Factory, which belongs to the mixed company Havana Club International S.A., the legislators condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.
During the trip to the territory, the French deputies reiterated their desire to strengthen bilateral relations and collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
