Detection and prevention of cervical cancer.

Mayabeque, Cuba: The Workshop for Nurses Responsible for Cervical Cancer Research takes place in Mayabeque, led by the Provincial Group of Pathological Anatomy.

It is essential to train the personnel who carry out this action, since this disease is a frequent pathology in females and its early detection is necessary.

The Workshop began at the Leopoldito Martínez Hospital, in San José de las Lajas, and the first group is made up of the municipalities of Bejucal, Quivicán, Jaruco, Santa Cruz del Norte and the provincial capital.

The purpose is to address issues related to program update issues to identify fundamental gaps and strengthen knowledge for early detection of this type of cancer.

At another time they will train the staff of Batabanó, San Nicolás, Melena del Sur, Güines, Nueva Paz and Madruga, according to the institutional communicator of the Provincial Directorate of Public Health, Dr. René Rodríguez Feo Cou.
