Mayabeque, Cuba: The Mayabeque team, made up of skaters from San José de Las Lajas and Güines, had an outstanding performance in the Provincial Skating Invitation Cup, held at the Raúl Argüelles Rink in Havana, obtaining 8 Gold medals , 12 Silver and 2 Bronze.
The group made up of 9 athletes, led by the coach, Master Dayamí Meneses, competed in categories 6-8 in the 100, 300 and 1500 meter modalities; 9-10 in 100, 500, 2000, 5000 and skills and in 11-12 years in 100, 500, 3000 meter points.
The results by category are as follows: 6-8 years old Alejandra de la Caridad León Reyes, with 2 gold and 2 silver medals, who was recognized as the most outstanding.
David Rodríguez Rodríguez, stood out with four gold medals in the four contests in competition and Yelianet Jiménez Reyes closed his performance in the fair with 2 gold and 2 silver medals.
On the other hand, in the 9-10 category, Gledis Lianet Reyes Orredo achieved 5 silver medals, Yankarlos Rodríguez Blanco a silver in 100 meters and 1 bronze in Skills, Yohany Sánchez Meralla 1 bronze in 100, while in 11-12 years Carlos Ernesto Molina García was awarded 2 silver, one in 100 and another in 500 meters.
