Mayabeque, Cuba: The Institute of Animal Science, located in Mayabeque, presented an award to the Indio Hatuey Experimental Station for Pastures and Forages in Matanzas for its 60 years of contribution to science and innovation in the agricultural sector.

The merit responds to scientific work and the mechanisms, forms, and procedures to achieve the integration of various actions and research.

The general director of this center, Luis Hernández Olivera, highlights the work and scientific work on the technological basis.

The generalization of the results developed by the Institute of Animal Science and the Indio Hatuey Experimental Station are pertinent to the demands of scientific-technical development.

Both scientific institutions are associated with food production, renewable energies, the environment and confronting climate change.
