El arte de informar.

It is a risk to determine how today journalism is will be. The complexity that we are experiencing today and the constant changes, with the entry of other communication media, make the information or news a double-edged dagger.

The growing presence of fake news, (as it is known in today’s world) and the impact of disinformation, make the people lose confidence in the communicator, in charge of carrying each entity, a package that must process and interpret his own understanding.

In a conversation I had with a fellow journalist who works for some of the media in our country (Cuba), mainly on the radio, Elvis Gil Domínguez, he told me:

?The journalistic exercise must continue to advocate for being more like the audiences it represents. In this case, the communication products will require in their content a greater proximity to the interests of the public and media agendas?.

The appearance of new communication platforms (Internet) requires the contribution of communication products that contain the theoretical tool of the technique of journalists.

In these cases, communication products of attachment for the public will be built and would have a greater impact compared to other materials published by the public themselves on social networks.

Remember that journalism is a form of communication within Social Communication, and is fostered between reality and the context of life based on the actions of man. Therefore, although it is subjective in its discourse because it is carried out by man, it passes through human creation and must be as objective as possible.

Challenges, there are many, but beyond them there must be a journalist committed to people, with a maximum sincerity that resembles the reality in which he lives, within his professional field, for this reason, I stayed with the words of the teacher, Olga Lidia Gómez Ramos (Olguita):

“The press that must be done is the one that the people want to hear, it is the one that is their own reflection, where the root of the people is sought, the wealth of their lives, their achievements, triumphs, what their daily struggle means and his attachment to the destinies of his country that are, also, the destinies of the town where he lives. The people want to be seen in the news, they want to be heard in the media, they want to see their truth and their lives reflected in the media?.

It is clear that, to face the future of journalism, it is necessary to preserve the classic values ??of good practice, turn technology into an ally, and ensure that citizens maintain and strengthen trust in the media, to continue exercising the service of report.
