Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque is one of the provinces with the largest number of projects presented in the first call of the Fund for the Promotion of Cuban Cinema (FFCC), whose admission period expired on July 10 last.
From last July 13 to August 21, the Technical Group is reviewing the folders and communicating with the applicants to notify them about the acceptance of the project or to resolve any incidents that may arise from this review.
The launch of this call is a new possibility for film making on the Island.
Conceived as one of the objectives within Decree Law 373/2019 of the Independent Audiovisual and Cinematographic Creator, the Fund for the Promotion of Cuban Cinema opens new opportunities for the construction of Cuban cinema and strengthens the relationship of institutions with creators.
