Legal case against Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva annulled in Brazil

Brazil: The Brazilian justice annulled this Tuesday one of the nine open cases for alleged corruption against former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Radio Rebelde reports.

The decision was made by a Brasilia court considering that there was insufficient evidence to continue the process. This would be the fifth lawsuit against the former president that has been annulled by the Brazilian justice.

The annulled case refers to accusations of alleged corruption, influence peddling, money laundering and illicit association made against Lula under the unproven presumption that he favored illicit businesses of the construction company Odebrecht in Angola.
