Cuba reports 50 new positive cases for Covid-19.

Havana: At midnight yesterday, September 20, 7,794 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of them: 5,880 under surveillance, 1,353 suspects and 561 confirmed, the official website of MINSAP publishes.

7,598 samples were studied for COVID-19, resulting in 50 positive samples. The country accumulates 546,250 samples carried out and 5,141 positive (0.94%).

Of the 50 diagnosed cases, 48 are Cubans and two foreigners residing in Cuba, 40 were contacts of confirmed cases and 10 without a specified source of infection. 28 are male and 22 are female. 70% (35) were asymptomatic.

The residence by province and municipality of the 50 confirmed cases:

Artemisa (3 cases): San Cristóbal (3).

Mayabeque (1 case): Güines (1).

Havana (31 cases): Diez de Octubre (7), Regla (4), Boyeros (3), Centro Habana (3), San Miguel del Padrón (3), Marianao (3), La Lisa (2), Arroyo Naranjo (2), Habana del Este (1), Playa (1), Guanabacoa (1), Plaza de la Revolución (1).

Matanzas (7 cases): Cárdenas (6), Unión de Reyes (1), Sancti Spíritus (1 case), Yaguajay (1).

Ciego de Ávila (5): Ciego de Ávila (4), Baraguá (1).

Camagüey (2 cases): Jimaguayú (2).

Of the 5,141 patients diagnosed with the disease, 561 (10.9%), 548, 97.7% with stable clinical evolution remain confirmed. 116 deaths are reported (one of the day), two evacuated, 50 discharges of the day, 4 thousand 462 recovered patients accumulate (87%). Four patients are reported in critical condition and nine in serious condition.

Until September 20, 185 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 30 million 835 thousand 922 (+ 295 thousand 476) and 957 thousand 790 deaths (+ 5 thousand 066) for a lethality of 3.10 % (-0.01).

In the region of the Americas, 15 million 614 thousand 467 confirmed cases (+ 117 thousand 512) are reported, 50.63% of the total cases reported in the world, with 531 thousand 148 deaths (+ 2 thousand 644) for a fatality of 3.40% (-0.01).
