Havana: The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, held a meeting this Friday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is on a working visit to our country.
In a cordial atmosphere, they discussed the state of bilateral relations and ways to continue developing economic, commercial and cooperation ties between both nations.
Likewise, opportunities for exchange in the scientific-technical and health spheres were addressed, as well as aspects related to confronting COVID-19.
On the Iranian side participated the assistant to the Minister and director of America in the Foreign Ministry of that country, H.E. Mr. Reza Nazari Ahari, and the Iranian Charge d’Affaires appointed in Cuba, Hon. Mr. Ali Eslamian.
The Cuban President was accompanied by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations Marcelino Medina González.
