Russia: The leaders of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) held a summit this Tuesday, headed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Radio Rebelde reports.
It will be the third time that the event is chaired by Moscow, after the 2009 and 2015 editions, and the next time it will be in 2024.
At the beginning of the event, Vladimir Putin, proposed to accelerate the creation of the vaccine research center within the BRICS framework and stressed the importance of joining the efforts of the countries for the production of drugs against the coronavirus.
?There are Russian vaccines that work, efficiently and safely. The problem is to carry out its mass production. That is not a problem, it is a task that we face. And, of course, it is crucial to join forces in the mass production of these products to achieve a wide civil circulation?, Putin said.
