Unicef exhorta a tomar medidas para mantener escuelas abiertas.

United States: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) advocates that countries take all sanitary measures to keep schools open and prevent further damage to the learning of millions of children, Cubasí reports.

According to figures from that UN agency, some 90 million minors were affected with the new closure of schools during the last month due to outbreaks of Covid-19.

Although school closings were reduced in October, since December 1, that entity records that 20 percent of the world’s students are affected again and away from classrooms amid the new wave of infections.

The United Nations Children’s Fund considers that many countries do not take all the necessary provisions so that schools are safe from Covid-19 and this leads to their unnecessary closure.
